Licensing
in Belize...
It
is easy to obtain a reciprocal license to operate in Belize.
Prior to your arrival, contact the Belize Public Utilities
Commission for application and current fees:

advance planning, a license can be obtained by mail. It
can be picked up upon arrival, or arranged for you. Contact me for details. |

Equipment:
- Kenwood
TS850S with narrow SSB and CW filters in the 8 MHz and
455KHz IF's.
- RS232
computer output for your laptop.
- Kenwood
TS690 dedicated to the 6 meter band and also as a back-up
transceiver.
- Bring your own key or paddle for CW.
- DSL is available in shack. NOTE: Voice over IP (VoIP) does not work in Belize, as it is blocked by BTL.
- Voltage is 115v in Belize, 230v is also available in the shack.

Farm:
- 5
band Lightning Bolt cubical quad on a 10 meter tower.
- HF2V
for 80 & 40 meters.
- On
6 meters, a 4 element wide spaced beam on its own separate
rotor

- The
Shack rents for $350 USD/week, and only to guests at Palmetto Place. Minimum 1 week rental during contests.
